The Rosette | Framed

The Rosette is a dense star-forming region in the constellation Monoceros. The intense radiation emitted from the star cluster at the center has carved out the rose-petal shape of the gas surrounding it. One of my favorite features of the Rosette is the band of gas stretching across the front of the core along the left side that's silhouetted by the glowing core.
